Luckily for those of you who want an informal, chic wedding, rustic/country weddings are still very much popular out there. How do you do it, though? How do you incorporate a rustic theme into your Big Day? Here are some fabulous ideas to inspire you!
• Horses. If you are a big fan of these beautiful animals, you’re in great luck because a rustic chic wedding can incorporate them more than successfully! You can incorporate pictures of horses for your wedding invitations and stationery, you can rent a horse-drawn carriage for a magic “wedding exit” and, if your venue allows this, you can evens shoot some amazing wedding photos with horses as well. Not only will you have the chance to incorporate some of the most beautiful animals on Earth into your wedding, but you will contribute a lot to your rustic/country theme as well!
• Chairs and tables. Keep your chairs and tables simple. Wood works best with this kind of theme and the good news is that there are plenty of rental companies providing brides and grooms with amazing rustic furniture designs (if, of course, your wedding venue doesn’t provide these already).
• Flowers. Use flower arrangements to add grace and liveliness to your rustic wedding. Garden roses and other types of “wild” flowers are very much popular this year so you will have plenty of options when it comes to the florals. Combine them with baby’s breaths and/or sweet peas and place them in Mason Jars, empty wine bottles or even in copper vases and you will create something that’s extremely stylish and beautiful at the same time too.
• The cake. Forget about marzipan frosted cakes and focus on finding a cake design that emphasizes more on the idea of “simplicity”. Buttercream frosting is a delicious choice – and if you want to be even bolder with your cake, you can choose to have a “naked” one as well.
